Yvonne Jacquette
Yvonne Jacquette gave me a lesson in color I will never forget. A valuable lesson I knew a little about from photography studies: the difference between looking and seeing, then taking what I saw in her mixed colors and reproducing exactly. Yvonne refused to help me with original colors she started with and by the end of the day I'd mixed a lot of color that wasn't anywhere near what she wanted me to make.
Garner didn't pay me that day as I'd wasted a fortune in artist oil color. Pretty sure the following project was able to use all those variations on the color Yvonne wanted and I'd initially failed to deliver.
I did learn how to mix color, a very valuable skill in my work.
