Maria is a mixed media artist influenced by her birthplace of Italy and her beloved adopted country Canada; by it's diverse landscape, diverse peoples, diverse climate, from province to province and territory to territory. These influences are seen in her soapstone carvings, paintings, and encaustic works. Living in Ottawa for most of her life, service to community is one of her priorities.
