Biography
Laurita Salles (São Paulo SP 1952)

Record , sculptor and teacher.

In 1972 and 1973, Laurita Ricardo de Salles attended courses at Escola Brasil. From 1977 to 1982, she graduated in plastic arts at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo - ECA/USP, during which time she took classes with Evandro Carlos Jardim (1935). In 1988, as a scholarship holder of the Vitae Foundation and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq, he studies engraving at Atelier 17, by Stanley Willian Hayter (1901 - 1988), in Paris, and history of engraving in the Office of Prints of the National Library of France. Based on these studies, it begins to consider engraving on metal plates as an independent process of printing methods on paper. He teaches drawing and engraving at the Faculty of Communication and Arts of Mackenzie University, from 1991 to 1994. It begins to expose engraved metal plates in 1996. At the same time, while pursuing a master's degree at ECA/USP, he visits industries that work with chemical machining and perceives correspondences between this process and the technique of etching on metal engraving. Since then, he has carried out three-dimensional works using industrial methods of brass engraving. In 2003, he completed a doctorate in visual poetics from ECA/USP, in which he develops sculptures of plastic polymers with shapes designed in computer programs.

She is a research artist with interdisciplinary experience working in the area of Art and technology. It's Prof. Associate III in the Department of Arts of UFRN- Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Post-Doctorate by Media Lab UFG. He has experience in the area of Visual Arts, with emphasis on the area of engraving and image and in new media, acting mainly on the following themes: contemporary image, numerical image, art and technology. General Coordinator of the Project 10 Dimensions - Dialogues in network, body, art and technology from June 2011 to 2012 , and currently as a Permanent Group of UFRN, having been deputy coordinator since August 2010; Coordinator of the Laboratory 10 Dimensions/UFRN; she was Vice- Coordinator of the Research Group Matizes and coordinator of the Contemporary Poetic Research Line - at DEART/UFRN He won the 1998 Vitae Arts Scholarship. Reviewer of FAPESP/Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo from 2009 to 2020 , he was a Member of the Visual Poetics Committee of ANPAP/National Association of Researchers in Fine Arts 2012/13. She holds a degree from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (1979), a master's and doctorate in Arts-Line of Research in Visual Poetics from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (1999, 2003), with internships as a doctoral student at the School of Engineering of São Carlos of the University of São Paulo and with the NUMA She worked in the Design area having participated in the Arts Group of USP East Zone responsible for the creation of Design and Digital Media courses and consultant for the training of Art and Technology course (BAT) at UFABC 2009-15. Current interests in the area of Technological Arts-Poetics, Digital Media, Innovation.
